MsConfig allows you to control what starts up when you boot up your system.

Go to your start menu, press r for the run dialog and type in msconfig and hit enter.
Control tab to the start up page.
You will have a listview of all the items that start up when you boot your
computer.
Do a say line to hear if an item is checked or not.  
If it is checked that means it is enabled and will start at boot up.
Press the space bar to uncheck it.
It will ask you if you want to restart your computer for the changes to take effect.
