Question:

How do I add a SAPI 4 synthesizer?

Answer:

You can no longer add SAPI 4 synthesizers during JAWS installation. However, you can now use the JAWS Language menu to detect SAPI 4 synthesizers. To add
SAPI 4 synthesizers for use with JAWS:

1. Start JAWS and press INSERT+J.
2. Press ALT+L to open the Language menu.
3. Open the Change Synthesizer submenu and choose SAPI 4 Detect.
4. Select the synthesizer that you want to use, then press ALT+D to activate the Add button. To add all synthesizers in the list, press ALT+A to activate
the Add All button.
5. You can now use the Change Synthesizer submenu to switch to your SAPI 4 synthesizer.
