Here are some tips for navigating in Zone alarm which I picked up from Some e-mail posts on the jaws list mail. You have to go through the panels to find the option checkbox for the keyboard blocker, but it is there and once unchecked JFW works normally. These instructions are for stumbling your way around the Zone Alarm menus. To get to the settings area in ZA, use NumPadInsert+F11 to open the task tray, select the ZA icon and press enter. Arrow up and down until you get to "restore zone alarm control center" and press enter. Now is where it gets fun. You will have to experiment here. The control jaws pronounces as NavBarWnd selects the main areas of settings, and the PropSheetWnd selects the options for each main area. So you get to one at a time, change the selection in NavBarWnd, tab over past PropSheetWnd and see what is in the window. If it is not what you want, tab to PropSheetWnd and use down arrow once to change the selection and then tab into the options window and see what is there. When you start seeing a repeated window from before, you have been through all the choices in this sub menu area, time to change the selection in NavBarWnd with a single down arrow. Eventually, you will arrive in the programs window. Use the jaws cursor to read in here. Jaws will read which item of how many items in the program list, but will not read the list. So, it is necessary to use the jaws cursor. There are five icons to the right of the program selected in the list (jaws cursor will read the program names) The icons work in order of Program access (non server) internet (first icon), local network (second icon), server access internet (third icon), server access local network (fourth icon) and I haven't a clue about the fifth icon. Because I started over and am being prompted, I now know graphic 705 means I have allowed access, graphic 165 means to ask each time, and since I have not deliberately blocked anybody yet I do not know what the graphic number will be for blocked - other than it will not be 705 or 165. If I were you, I would remove everything from the programs list and just put up with being asked for permissions for the programs.
