Rotating Monitor
Display
Sometimes an incorrect keystroke can cause the image on the
monitor to be rotated,
But this may be easily corrected in the following manner.
Should your monitor display become rotated, try the following
steps to correct the problem:
Note:
You will need sighted assistance to verify the display
changes.
- 1. Go
to the Control Panel, and locate your video card in the list of applets.
- 2.
Press enter to access the properties dialogue.
- 3.
Look for the hotkeys tab.
- 4. Tab
until you come to the enable hotkeys checkbox, if it isn’t checked,
spacebar to check it.
- 5. Tab
again, and you should come to a list view of hotkeys and their actions.
- 6.
Make note of the one that corresponds to the normal orientation for your
display.
- 7.
Before invoking the keystroke, unload your screen-reader, to avoid any
keystroke conflicts.
- 8.
Press the appropriate keystroke, and after verifying that the display is
correct, tab to the apply button, and press the spacebar.
- 9.
Finally, tab to the checkbox, and spacebar to disable hotkeys, then tab to
the apply button,
- Spacebar that, and then spacebar the
okay button.
- 10.
Re-boot your computer and see if the display is correct when Windows has
loaded.
These are the
settings for Intel(R) Extreme Graphics 2, video card,
But may also work
with other cards as well.
