Sometimes an incorrect keystroke can cause the image on the monitor to be rotated,

But this may be easily corrected in the following manner.

You will need sighted assistance to verify the display changes.

  1. 1. Go to the Control Panel, and locate your video card in the list of applets.
  2. 2. Press enter to access the properties dialogue.
  3. 3. Look for the hotkeys tab.
  4. 4. Tab until you come to the enable hotkeys checkbox, if it isn’t checked, spacebar to check it.
  5. 5. Tab again, and you should come to a list view of hotkeys and their actions.
  6. 6. Make note of the one that corresponds to the normal orientation for your display.
  7. 7. Before invoking the keystroke, unload your screen-reader, to avoid any keystroke conflicts.
