You will find some PDF files on the web. To download the PDF to your hard drive instead of having it open in your browsser windows, run Acrobat Reader 5 and press control K for the preferences. Arrow down to options and then tab until you find display PDF in browser and uncheck it. That way when you enter on a link for a PDF it will give you a download dialog and you can save the PDF to your hard drive. Then just enter on the filename and it will open locally in Adobe Reader. Some authors of PDF files have protected them and set the security so you are not able to access the PDF with a screen reader.
