Adobe Reader
Adobe Reader is for reading pdf files.
You can download the latest version of Adobe Reader at:
http://get.adobe.com/reader/?promoid=BUIGO
When the page loads, navigate by headings until you come to:
Download the latest version of Adobe Reader
And then arrow down until you come to the checkbox for the Google Toolbar.
This checkbox is checked by default, simply press enter to uncheck it, if you don’t want the toolbar.
Next, move to the download link, and press enter.
When the next page loads, you may get an information bar alert,
Telling you that Internet Explorer has blocked a website from downloading to your computer.
This is an active x control and is necessary to install the reader.
Just press the spacebar to okay the dialogue, and then press Alt + N, to open the information bar context menu, and press enter on the allow option which will be first in the list of options.
Follow the instructions on the download page, and the reader will be downloaded and installed.
Adobe Reader has detected that you may be using Assistive
Technology on
your computer. While using Adobe Reader with Protected Mode
enabled on
Windows XP operating systems, some Assistive Technologies
may not be able to
read some document content. If you do encounter problems,
turning off
Protected Mode may help. This can be done by choosing Edit, Preferences,
General, and unchecking Enable Protected Mode at startup.
