Tab three times to the Match Conditions Incoming box, and make sure that it is checked. Tab once to the Match Conditions Outgoing box, and make sure that it is unchecked. Tab once again to the Match Conditions Manual box, and make sure that it is checked. 4. Tab once to the Match Conditions list box. This list box contains three radio buttons: from, any recipient, and subject. Check the From radio button (turned on by default) to match the message against the From field-the sender of the message you are filtering. You can then edit the field. The From field of a target message must contain the information in this box but does not have to exactly equal it. Check the Subject radio button to match the message against the Subject field of the message you are filtering. You can then edit the field. The Subject line of a target message must contain the information in this box but does not have to exactly equal it. Do not check the any recipient button. 5. Tab once to the Match Conditions Contains : edit box, and edit this field to your liking. For example, if you checked the subject radio button in the previous option, and you are filtering a message from the JFWLite list with the subject line "Re[JFWlite] Eudora pro 4.3.2 red/unred," you may want to edit this field to just read [JFWLITE]. In this example, all incoming messages from the JFWLITE listserv will be sent to the box designated for this filter, since every subject field contains this string. 6. Tab once to the Action list box. This box has three choices: transfer to new mailbox, transfer to existing mailbox, and delete message (transfer to trash). Since you have already created a mailbox for this filter, check the Transfer To Existing mailbox button. You would check the Transfer to New Mailbox button to transfer the filtered message to a new mailbox that you will specify. The text field is filled in with a suggested newmailbox name based on your selected content match condition (From or Subject). You can change this name if you like. You would check the Delete Message (Transfer To Trash) button to delete the filtered message to the trash mailbox. 7. Tab twice to the In button, and press enter. A version of the Transfer menu appears, letting you choose the mailbox you previously created from the Transfer menu. Cursor down to the desired mailbox, and press enter. You will be returned to the filter dialog box, and the In button will reflect the mailbox you just selected. 8. Shift Tab once to go back to the action edit box. Delete the contents of this field, and enter the name of the existing mailbox you just selected with the In button. 9. Tab twice to the Create Filter button, and press enter. You have just successfully created your filter.
